A Good Handyman was established in 2020 and is Headquartered in Vallejo CA. We are expanding our services and building a handyman/handyperson team to serve our current clients. We are a growing business focused on the needs of our customers. We impact the lives of our clients with the highest level of service and care. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our team. The Handyman will be responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and improvements on residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate has a wide range of repair skills, strong problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Work Conditions:

Supervised and unsupervised work conditions based on experience.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Some evening or weekend availability may be required. Hours are flexible, on call and vary.
May involve travel between job sites.

Compensation (Ranges on Experience)

Little to no experience: $15-$18
More than a year: $18-$20
Journeyman Level: $35-$50
Journeyman Level Plumber, Electrician: $45-$75

Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and repair tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and minor HVAC work.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Ability to inspect properties to identify and resolve potential issues.
Assemble furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed.
Provide and maintain your own tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
Ensure all work is completed according to safety standards and building codes.
Communicate with manager directly about repair needs and project timelines.
Handle small renovation or improvement projects as assigned.
Track and report time, materials used, and completed work.

Qualitfications:

Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance worker. (Those with specific trade experience only such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or paint are highly desired and eligible for trade specific assignments.)
Strong knowledge of general repair techniques and tools.
Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions.
Physical stamina and ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to communicate in all forms of communication including via text, email, or by phone.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications a plus.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
